2017 Rocket III Roadster
I've owned around 27 motorcycles, although for the vast majority of the past years at least one of them has been a VMax (I've owned 5). I figured now that I am married I should be driving something made in this century, so I purchased a 2017 Rocket III with 3,700 miles. I love almost everything about it, although I miss the riding position of the taller VMax (which I'm about to sell). I'll also miss the sound, my VMax sounds like a V8 at idle, where this sounds like an electric sewing machine. It did come with an aftermarket muffler (which isn't installed), but he didn't know how to adjust the mapping for the new muffler. Hopefully I'll find out more as I own it.

Greetings from sunny North Texas. If you're only replacing the silencers a remap may not be necessary. To get the most out of the motor taking it in for a dyno tune can't hurt you. If you want to fiddle the maps yourself TuneECU is your friend. With 1st Gen Rockets they require a chip enabled cable to remap. Good luck and enjoy your new wheels.
