Please Help ! Diesel fuel in tank

Alas, there was not a supportive community as we have here, and I never got the hang of synchronizing the four carburetors so the twelve cylinders would be in harmony. When it ran right, it ran like a scalded dog. It got to the point I needed ether to start it, and was driving it less, and the seals went and I couldn't garage it so there was water intrusion in the interior. I put an ad for it in Hemmings in early 2008, and a fellow drove down from Connecticut with a truck and flatbed, paid cash for it, and drove away. It was a bit of a bastard because the car was built as an automatic - which in the American market were far more valuable than the engine itself, and because of the poor support for the V-12s (they were only made four years - '71 - '74) there was a niche industry to replace the V-12 with an American V-8 + automatic -- but the transmission was the limiting factor, and I had a guy trade me a rebuilt manual transmission plus a newly rebuilt V-12 spare engine for the automatic. Not having the factory stamp, I crudely used a cutting wheel to create the opening for the stick. So this depressed the collector value for the car, and still, I made out alright, as in September of that year, the financial crisis hit (I had also parted with an E-30 BMW M-3 for good money).

Having owned several E-Types, I have some sense of what it must be like to be pretty woman -- those cars would turn heads everywhere I went.

Now I ride a motorcycle and people ask, "What kind of Harley is that ?" Oh, and a funny electric car that garners similar questions.

All in good fun -- isn't life grand -- as long as we have our health.
