They're not all bad

I rode my CB750 to Upper Michigan to visit a friend, my chain got loose on a Sunday, I couldn't find a store open to buy a large crescent, couple guys and their wives on their Harleys stopped, he had to be somewhere, but he gave me directions to a probable store, and his phone number, said if I was still stuck in a couple hours after he did what he had to do, he would go home and get tools and come back and help me.

I think the vast majority of people that ride don't care what but that you ride and I certainly wasn't referring to a'holes from personal experience. It's just the number of anti HD or HD rider threads on here lately prompted mine.

I personally an not a fan of their bikes but I certainly would not judge anyone for riding one.

A few years back I was riding through Utah and stopped to fill up. The were a bunch of HA's filling up there so I parked in front of the store to get some water first. A few of the young blokes walked past and turned away when they saw that my bike was a Triumph, but an older chap with his wife came over and asked about it - so we chatted for a while, and I asked about the Victory Vision that he was riding.

He said that he had owned everything - soft tails, flat heads etc, etc ,etc, but that the Vision was the best bike he ever had. My inside voice said "you've only ever owned Harleys - of coarse it's better than anything you'd owned", but my outside voice said "really".

and that is how I met Sonny Barger.

Here's Arlen Ness back in the day,he was good friends with Dave Perowitz. He designed the Victory Vision. My old girlfriend and i rode with them to Laconia from Bridgewater ,Mass.

My buddy met Sonny Barger a few years back when he stopped him on the W/B I-10 coming into Calif in the Blythe area. Seeing as my buddy rides a Harley he bull ****ted with Sonny for a few and then let him go. Just remember, a lot of cops ride Harleys and not all will hammer you for loud exhaust Etc.
