    Instrument pack replacement.

Got it. Just haven't gotten to it yet. Will reply tomorrow... I hope. All is chaos.

    Instrument pack replacement.

I don't think the issue is with a physically broken LCD screen, as the problem comes and goes and does different strange things. It doesn't look like a "leak" .. unless that is how a leak acts (I don't know). I posted a video on youtube to show some of the antics. I will consider selling the...

    Instrument pack replacement.

I bought what was supposed to be a NEW instrument pack on ebay. Had the dealer install it so all the "stuff" could be moved over and odo set. Turns out the pack was NOT new. It had 734 miles on it. The dealer can only set the odometer if it had not been set before. Their tool said it had...

    Instrument pack replacement.

Has anyone here had to replace the instrument pack (screen, dash, what ever you wish to call it) with a new one? Is this something the dealer has to do? The replacement is simple enough. I just need to know if the dealer needs to do any voodoo to make it work correctly. Thanks

    Dash Display weirdness

No to all of the above. It happened on a fairly smooth road. I tried giving it the traditional impact technology adjustment (smacked it) to no effect. Wiggled it via the tilt handle, no change. It has not occurred again. If it does, I will try a disconnect, clean the connector and...

    Dash Display weirdness

Look at the right photo. The screen is black except for a wide horizontal white line at the top and two narrow ones in the middle. Squished! (compressed, mushed, etc)

    Dash Display weirdness

Out for a ride and on my way home. Looked down, and my display was all squished to the top (or so it seemed). Had not hit a major bump, it wasn't extremely hot or cold out. The bike was running fine so I finished the ride like that. I didn't want to turn it off in case it wouldn't start...

Crash bars, engine guards, sliders Rocket 3 R/ GT

Either that, or make it so it clears the oil cooler. I like your detachable crossmember idea better. Email sent back to T-Rex, and commented on their YouTube Install video.

Crash bars, engine guards, sliders Rocket 3 R/ GT

I sent an email to T-Rex, and got this reply: ------------------------ Hi, Yes, unfortunately, you will need to remove the engine guard to perform the oil change. Thanks, Ruben T-Rex Racing 11351 Anaheim Dr. Dallas, TX 75229 ----------------------- Oh well.....

Corbin Fleetliner Bags - a few thoughts

I purchased the Corbin Fleetliner Bags in October of 2021. So, I have probably put about 40,000+ miles on them. During that time, the bike has been over on it's left side 3 times. Just zero speed drops, not crashes. One time, I needed to remove some pretty deep scratches and do some touch up...

    Side Stand

There are pictures in that thread. Scroll down a ways to my post. There is also more info on what I did there. https://www.r3owners.net/threads/blowing-in-the-wind-the-need-for-a-revised-kickstand.48574/post-787410

    Side Stand

I had my side stand cut down to increase the lean. Had it that way almost 3 years now. Love it. https://www.r3owners.net/threads/blowing-in-the-wind-the-need-for-a-revised-kickstand.48574/page-6

    Corbin Fleetliner Saddlebags

It was the Corbin bags, but the bag didn't come off, the door/lid came open... probably from being jounced a few times over some cattle guards faster than I should have... and/or not being completely latched. There are 2 latches (front and back). Maybe one did not seat correctly. That was...

    Corbin Fleetliner Saddlebags

I need to carry quite a bit of stuff, due to the insistence of my wife to be prepared.. and for creature comforts. So, I really needed bags. The bike came with the Triumph panier bags. I did not like the look, or the capacity. I wasn't very fond of the stock rear "fender" either. So, bit the...

    Mounting / dismounting

The GT is hard to get on because of the forward controls. I have a GT, but with the R pegs. I get on like you would with a saddle stirrup. Left foot on the peg then stand on the peg and swing my right leg over. Can't say it is dignified, but it gets me there.
