  1. Paint can rattle /vibration together??

It's pretty simple, but works. I got about 90% of the foot and seat vibration out. Don't know why I can't get it out completely, I was able to before, and this is a better setup. You'll need to start with longer passenger foot rest bolts. Be sure and check the length to make sure they don't...
  2. Paint can rattle /vibration together??

I'll go buy some extra bushings etc and take pics. Stand by.
  3. Paint can rattle /vibration together??

Thanks Busajack, took a look at the timing gear and all looks good. Poked it a couple times and seems tight. OK, here's a different approach - I have Jardines and remembered when I put them on having a vibration starting up. Thought it was strange there were no isolating rubber bushings where...
  4. Paint can rattle /vibration together??

Rattle Gentlemen, Thanks for all the info and the welcome. I'll be looking at the sprocket this evening. Wife's getting annoyed, spent a lot of time tinkering on the R3 this weekend - oh well, one more night won't make my payback any worse. Thanks again.
  5. Paint can rattle /vibration together??

I've read all the threads (I think) and can't figure out if the rattle is accompanied by a vibration. I've started getting a vibration over 3100 rpm's and getting nervous about this much discussed timing sprocket. Do the two tie together. I talked to both dealers hear in Denver and they say...
  6. newbie has another kinda seat question

Seat I bought an '07 Classic in 06, got rid of the classic seat real quick. went to a corbin touring and it's been great for me and my wife. had to do a little reworking of the seat to get it to fit, but nothing major. it also raised the passenger up an inch or two.
  7. Idol/stall new fix

thanks. i adjusted the idle screw on mine and it seems to be holding, but this is some good info just in case it starts acting up again.
  8. Idol/stall new fix

sorry, probably stupid question, but what are HT leads?
  9. Classic tuning

i've got the 06 classic and have been running the tuneboy tunes for the standard r3 with no problems. spoke with tuneboy before hand and he told me to use these, that the engine is the same. i don't really understand why there is a selection of tuneboy tunes for the classic on his website.
  10. TuneBoy glitch

i'm laughing out loud as i read this as my blood pressure went up for a couple of days in battle with the tuneboy. it's pretty basic (for some), but the first time is a bear. hang in there, you'll get there. it's definitely worth it in the end.
  11. Jardine tune on Tuneboy website

i'm having great luck with the -3. might try the new one just for grins.
  12. Exhaust options

haven't heard the maddogs, but i like going back to the 3 pipes. i have the jadines and they sound great. in fact i get people on other bikes commenting on the sound. you'll be happy with the songs they put out. i thought the tors were way too loud and sortof sounded like a car with the muffler off.
  13. Forward controls for a slower grey one.

like that alot!! - going into production maybe? they look very comfortable.
  14. Tuneboy novice

i've got the k&n and jardines. search some of the old threads and you'll find that you'll burn too lean with the jardines and any triumph tune. i pulled my plugs and they were definitely too white and i'm at 7500 feet above sea level, so you would think that would richen it some. i also switched...
  15. corbin dual tourer not so hot

thanks, i'm surprised it's at the right height, but i'm going try it. another hint for those who haven't put the corbin on yet, get some of the clear paint protector. the front of the seat rubbed clompletely through the paint on the rear of the tank. luckily it's another excuse to give my...
