    Crash and burn...

Crazy: Fire? I don't know, to be honest. The bike did take out a cactus and someone's mailbox. Maybe when it went over the mailbox it punctured something?? TC: good for you being able to get back out there. I won't even be walking in a month let alone riding again...

    Crash and burn...

Thanks everyone! I've not felt like getting on line, so it took me a bit to get back here. I appreciate all the well wishes. This put a bit of a scare into me, so I might stick to reading about cycles a while... Safety gear for those of interest: Scorpion exo-900 transformer with the full...

    Crash and burn...

Literally... Dang. Out on a ride two weeks ago. Unfamiliar with the two lane road, passed slower traffic and found myself heading into a curve too fast. I think I laid it down, but honestly am not certain. No one else involved. All on me. Bike burned about 20 feet from me as I lay with...

My version of the Custom Dynamics/Side mount

It's intentionally side mounted and vertical. The state law is something about 'being visible from behind' and of course being lit. I have been watching and I've seen a few other side mount/verticals around town and had a highway patrol behind me a couple days ago. The first time that I've...

    Quick release passenger

I'm a little late to this party, but I looked high and low and didn't find anything. The passenger seat does come off pretty quickly, but it's really the sissy bar/backrest that I was looking for. The best answer I found was to buy a full dual passenger seat with backrest, and swap it out...

    Solved My Gas Mileage Riddle

I think I've been driving like a pansy... I got almost 40mpg in the last couple of tanks. To/from work in the HOV lane and pretty well stuck at a constant 55mph or so. Idiot light at about 150-160 miles very consistently. Roughly only 4 gallons. I think I need to let her loose a little...

If You Had $2000 To Spend

Corbin dual tourer with a backrest and rear suspension. Heck, not terribly much left of 2k after that. GIPro and a coffee mug?

My version of the Custom Dynamics/Side mount

Thanks! It makes me smile. Yesterday I took some time to polish up the fender as I scuffed it a bit with all the disassembly/reassembly and thankfully it call buffed up just fine. Now I just need to ride it more! Spend less time playing with it and really PLAY WITH IT!

My version of the Custom Dynamics/Side mount

I finished up my Custom Dynamics LED turn signals this weekend and made a custom side plate mount since I hadn't settled on one yet. The plate mount is a one-off. I'm really pleased with the turn signals and am lighting the plate with a seriously bright LED spotlight from under the fender...

    fly screen options

+1 on the Angry flyscreen. Note: I was starting from scratch so needed the front-end fixing kit as well as the mounting brackets. I had them make and polish a set of mounting brackets for me as well and they are extremely well done. Highly recommended. Great price, great quality, great...

    Side License Plate Mount

My plan for lighting... I'm still waiting to hear about the fit/look of the convertible one from Todd... But in the meantime I'm ordering and planning the rest of my rear-end mods. I'm going with the Custom Dynamics LED rear lights for the turn signals, as has already been done a number of...

    Side License Plate Mount

Update? I think this convertible side mount would suit me well. Any update on the fit, etc.? Thanks!

Why I bought a Rocket III

social animal! I rode a small bike back in college. Anemic. Five years ago I got the itch for a bike. I was married at the time and had given up control of my own PAIR. I 'settled' for a Benz SLK roadster. It was Sunburst yellow. Had to stand out. I loved the social aspects of it...

Are there still no quick release sissy bars out there?

I chatted with Corbin There is a bracket to support the seat pan and that will need to be taken off to put the solo seat back on, but they assure me it isn't difficult and would be quick. Less than 10 minutes to switch seats. That's pretty close to ideal. So, at this point, I'm thinking of...
