  1. Output shaft & Final Drive

Ditto Skid Marks response . . . my drive shaft was toast as well as the output bearing on mine last year. Take it back and have 'em look over the drive shaft and at the very least grease that puppy. :D
  2. need help with signal lights re trailer hookup

Example of what I mentioned the other day. You need to isolate your wiring for the trailer and power it separately. Then the bike lights will remain bright and the trailer will be well lit regardless of what bulbs you use. You need POWER, not bulbs to fix your dimly lit trailer...
  3. Unique Poll

I think it would read better if you stated as follows: Any one had any issues while under warranty? Or are you asking if anyone has had issues with getting things taken care of under warranty.
  4. need help with signal lights re trailer hookup

Sounds like you have too much drain on the signal circuit. I too plan to wire my R3 up to pull a trailer. I plan to wire in an isolation circuit so the trailer will be drawing directly from the battery by way of relays. The isolation harnesses available run about $40-60.
  5. Rotella Synthetic oil

Try Wal-Mart . . . they have it in most of their stores. About $9 qt. :D
  6. 10K service check and the shim check

I believe I would revert back to the 10K or 20K service and repeat every 10K based on the chart. Looks fairly consistent every 10-20K miles as far as their maintenance recommendations. :D
  7. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

Obviously not very good. :P I believe dealers should treat their customers with a certain level of respect and courtesy. Not ignore them. I expect to be waited on with genuine interest for my business when I walk thru the door. If I'm just looking . . . I should have to be asked by...
  8. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

I've decided to take the bike back to the Dealer that screwed it up in the first place. Against my better judgement and their past service record with my R3. I hate paying another dealer to fix something at my expense what another did in the first place. If they can without cutting the...
  9. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

Must be nice. I have NO relationship with the local dealer. They are a bunch of bone heads that don't have much to say to their customers unless they see their check book and they are ready to buy. I may just try and clean the one I have. Though I'd pick another one up just in case.
  10. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

Anyone know what brand and size of the rear wheel tire valve? 8mm or 10mm? I've found a couple manufacturers . . . just need to know what size. Thanks! :D
  11. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

Thanks TD . . . I just ordered another one from DiscountTires.com for like $85 and change. Still cheaper than a Metz. Shame I only got about 4K outta the first tire, but I like it so well I'm going with the same tire and size. I'd rather cut my losses and move on that tie up more money and...
  12. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

Found another dealer (Japanese, Honda/Yamaha etc.) that is willing to put another tire on the bike. Apparently the bone heads that put the tire on in the first place must've damaged the bead. Then when you reseated it, put silicone on it to seal it up. That's where the problem lies . . . it...
  13. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

I wish.. . don't think I can get anything to make that 90 degree turn and maintain a strong line to clear the valve. It needs something to dissolve the silicone. Might try some lacquer thinner. Don't know . .. might have to have the tire R/R and put in a new valve.
  14. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

No go on the guitar wire . . . like I said it's a 90 degree valve so you can't just clear it straigh thru. Guess I'll need to get the tire taken back off and a new valve installed. Now I need a new dealer to handle this one. Guess I should just take the tire wheel off myself. Amateurs...
  15. REAR TIRE/WHEEL Air VALVE Removal?

Unfortunately I have the 90 degree valve so it may have to come off to get it to take air again. I'd rather find another tire source that take it back to the Triumph Dealer that screwed it up in the first place. THEY SUCK at SERVICE! It's a Car Tire so Triumph won't stand behind anything...
