    Hanging Idle

    Warmed it up, and backed it out a half. The idle was very low so closed it back down 1/4 turn and let it continue to get hot. Seems to be behaving. Hope to take it out tomorrow to street test.

    It only lasted a short time and the high idle is back. I'm thinking it has to have something to do with spring pressure.     Now that I have the TBs synced, stepper motor removed and hanging idle issue resolved, I should probably set my TPS. Has anyone done this with the stepper motor removed? Does it cause any issues or do you just blow past the stepper motor part of the adjustment.

    Finally she is running like she should. Loving it again. I ripped out the stepper motor and no more hanging idle. No clue what the issue is with the stepper motor, but the bike is running fantastic now!!!!

    Tried everything and still battling the high idle issue. I do notice my TB's are balanced at 820. I know everyone states all all need to match, but has anyone seen them match in the 800's?

    I did balance the TBs. Unfortunately when I blip the throttle after adjustment it can over 3k and stay there. Previously I did pull the stepper motor plug and it didn't help.     Ok still battling the hanging idle. Next question. I replaced my TPS and now thinking, maybe I just got a bad one. My question is, after you tighten the TPS. Do you still see a variance in the TPS voltage when you wiggle it or is it rock solid on .60?

    This is Carpenter Rocket #1. I was able to get the TPS to .60 and the stepper very close to .72. Secondaries are removed. I actually replaced that too when troubleshooting other issues.

    No I didn't. I just unplugged for a minute to see if the high idle would go away when blipping the throttle.

    Just tried this, didn't seem to help. I looked up in there when it went from high idle to lower idle and did not see anything visually moving. My thought process was if something was stuck I should see it move back into place.
