Does your experience tell you that leaning out the mixture tends to make it run hotter? You can increase your maximum torque a crapload simply by setting the values in the ETV3 table to 100 at 100% grip throttle, as Penner has done.

First, are not the values in the fuel tables mg of air? Next, if you disconnect the O2 sensors, suppress the error codes and reset the adaptions, how is fuel calculated in the area of the AFR table with 14.5?

What year is your Rocket? Is it stock? Have you ever had a bike dyno tuned? Why do you want to modify the tune?

It doesn't ignore the AFR values. See above. In closed loop, it calculates the amount of fuel from the F (L) table and 14.5. Then it adjusts the fuel using the lambda sensor voltage. In open loop, it calculates the amount of fuel from the F (L) table value and the corresponding AFR table value.

There is a manual from Tuneboy (Jake McDonald), which was later duplicated by Alain Fontaine as Tuneecu. This explains a lot. Tuneboy says if the AFR table value is less than 14.5 (stoich), it won't use closed loop. I've seen stuff about mixing (interpolating) between closed and open loop...

I’m pretty sure that closed loop operates somewhat away from the block of 14.5 values in the AFR table. So you could infer that if you change the values in that block from 14.5 to 14.1, fueling will depend to some extent on the O2 sensor input. If you disconnect the O2 sensors and suppress the...

Funny you should ask. I saw a post, maybe on the Tuneecu Facebook site, that got heavily into this. The guy wanted to get more from his Street Triple or Daytona and went through this elaborate mathematical approach to derestricting the Torque Limits. basically increasing them well above what...

Understand. The ecu goes into closed loop when the target value in the Rocket AFR table is 14.5, the rpm is low and throttle steady. You can see this area in the stock tune. In the later vin maps, US R model, Penner has lowered those targets to 14.1 and enriched the fuel a bit in this area of...

Don’t know if anyone has talked about this but Tuneecu now displays the Torque Limit table, which presumably can restrict power. I recall a post by a dyno tuner who observed that the throttle plates were partially closed at WOT even with the ETV values set to 100%. Seems like the Torque Limit...

Throttle sensitivity, controlled by the ETV tables, is derestricted at the top end but unchanged at low throttle/rpm. Fuel is enriched in the mid range and slightly leaned out at the top end. The O2 sensor remains enabled. It’s unlikely to be lean no matter where you live. For a free tune...
