Has anyone changed an O2 sensor?

The L fuel tables are used when the throttle position is less than 4%. This specified in the F-L Switch table in the Rocket maps.

Has anyone changed an O2 sensor?

It will throw error codes which you could turn off with Tuneecu.

    O2 Sensor eliminator

There’s no threaded hole for a sensor in his exhaust.

    O2 Sensor eliminator

I haven’t seen O2 eliminator plugs for the new rockets. Not sure the old ones have the same connectors or the right electronics. https://o2eliminators.com/products/triumph-rocket-3-2004-2018-o2-oxygen-sensor-eliminator You can remove the sensor but you need to use Tuneecu to suppress error...

    Aftermarket Fuel Line Connection Replacement?

The fuel line and the connectors look the same as on the T120. This was a b!tch to get off and back on. In that case the fuel rail was plastic and the worry was breaking the fuel rail nipple off.

    Basic TuneECU Questions

This is the first thread for the Penner tunes. It has over 800 posts. Lots of guys have done this. This thread probably covers most of it. https://www.r3owners.net/threads/free-unrestricted-maps-for-rocket-r-gt-and-tfc-now-online.46009/

    Basic TuneECU Questions

Doing reset adapt screws up the crank position sensor calibration on the new Rockets.

    Basic TuneECU Questions

It’s #3 fuse (manual, p.146). It’s not going to get any less risky to load a map. Follow the manual. Except don’t do reset adapt. If the download craps out, you do a recovery.

    Basic TuneECU Questions

Remove the fuel pump and head lamp fuses. Put the battery on a charger. The biggest problem with loading tunes is low voltage. Don’t do reset adapt! Go for it.

    Basic TuneECU Questions

I don’t think it matters whether you mess with the stock tune or Penner does. The issue is changing it from OEM. Sounds like the ecu isn’t getting power from “on”.

    Basic TuneECU Questions

    1) Don’t understand the fuel pump question. Tuneecu needs enough voltage to the ecu to write a map. What is your battery voltage with the ignition on and the headlight fuse removed? 2) From this, it looks like the OBDLink app has to be running to check the firmware in the module...

Wish list for the next Rocket refresh

I sold the Classic in 2017. I bought it off eBay from Baxter Cycles because it had a brilliant yellow paint job by the original owner and a full Jardine exhaust. I got tired of the massive weight and despite the power, I sold it and bought a T120 out of nostalgia. After 3 years, I got bored with...
