Would you part ways with your Rocket?

I bought mine as a one or two year experiment to see how I'd like it. I'll probably let it go next year. Just can't get comfortable with the ergos. I like the cushy seat, but the angle it puts my legs at gives me hip discomfort - the pegs are too far forward. Love the torque, obviously, but it's...

    What's your MPG?

After riding mostly in the city lately, I got 33 MPG at the first fill-up this morning. After riding through the mountains today (elevations between 6,000' and 10,000', hot weather, mostly at about 50-60 MPH), I was pleasantly surprised to get 48 MPG when I refilled the tank on the way home...

the opposite of highway pegs on a Roadster...

Thanks for the update - glad to hear it helps. I remember reading your first post about it when I did a search. Does it reduce the number of bugs on your visor, or is it mostly the wind against the chest that it helps with?

Is there any adjustment in the driveline?

That would explain why it feels like there's a lot of lash when I go around a sharp corner slowly in 2nd. I'd been wondering about this just today. Thanks, guys, for shedding some light on it.

the opposite of highway pegs on a Roadster...

Good point - I've considered both and may well go in that direction. I don't like the look of a large windshield, but maybe one of those MRA Racing Screens might work. I've read good things on the forum about the risers, too. I've previously put risers on a Speed Triple and my Tiger 800 with...

the opposite of highway pegs on a Roadster...

I've never owned a cruiser before. I've had the most experience on standard type bikes. As I get better acquainted with my Roadster, I'm noticing that I'm putting my feet as far back as I can get them on the stock pegs when I'm not in the act of shifting or braking. If only I could put them a...

We ride all year in Buffalo

You're a lot braver than I was when I attended UB almost 3 decades ago. I left my bike at home when it looked like that!

    Just Curious

Since getting my 98 TBS 10 years ago, I've had an irrational brand loyalty to Triumph. I had a Speed Triple for a couple of years, now I have a Tiger 800. I visited the Hinckley factory in 2007. I was only 17 when I emigrated from Britain, but the longer I'm away, the more nostalgic I get :D My...

    Horns

Did you add a relay? I upgraded the stock horn on my TBS using the factory wiring and it got louder, but only worked when the engine was running. After I added a relay to the same horn, it got louder still, and didn't need the engine running.
