    Re: Works for me Are the black lines as good as the braided lines? When I had brake problems practically the first question a mechanic would ask me is "have you got braided lines" as they said they were better and less likely to expand under pressure.

    Can't give you a decibel rating but my TORs without CAT are at least as loud as the Santee short shots on my Fatboy. I'm looking at a way to tone them down, for the winter at least. Somehow they seem to sound louder in the winter.

  7. Harley owners

    I thought of upgrading my Fatboy. But then I would have to upgrade the brakes and the suspension and probably the frame. Easier to buy a Rocket and enjoy the Harley for what it is.

    And of course then discovered modulating rear lights which i just had to have. Best thing so far, the flashing is much more likely to be seen.

    I saw a site the other night where they tested all the available ways of avoiding Gatsos with the help of police mates using actual Gatsos and the only things that really worked were the flip up James Bond things. I've seen stuff demonstrated at shows but using a small digital camera from close...

    Once I finally figured it out, after having it explained to me here, I find it's so much easier to hook up my Optimate.

    Thanks for that. I believe Oxford do one as well. Once you've ridden off once with a disc lock on you don't want to repeat the experience. Very embarrassing. :oops: :oops: :oops:
