  6. My vibration problem solved

Thanks for posting the pics. I must have the older style lifter piece. Is it more prone to break the button end off? How worried should I be? I did just upgrade the clutch springs. On that note, I read in one of your posts that you tapped the clutch spring retainer bolt holes all the way thru...
  7. My vibration problem solved

Now you have me worried! I don't have a pic of the lifter piece but I thought that 2010 was the first year of the new style. If anyone would know it would be you Warp. I think it was the new style. It did look like new though. No burn marks at all. I'm not confused about how the springs...
  8. My vibration problem solved

I'm am just trying to be forthright in my observations. All engines have some vibrations and I believe that mine have diminished significantly. When I take it for a long ride I'll know how much of an improvement I have made but there is a definite improvement. Warp: I didn't check the rivets...
  9. GREAT New Tire Report

My apologies @1olbull, I stand by statement in regards to the construction not having any bearing in the direction that a tire rotates but just realized that the tread pattern on the front tire of a M/C is backwards to the rear. I look forward to replacing my front tire with the Michelin Road 5...

It wasn't enough to make the bike un-rideable but was annoying on long trips as the vibration from the handlebars left the hands...
  12. Engine Vibration continues

Went for my first ride since the engine was put back together. Only about 10 miles but it really does feel much smoother to me. Before when the engine was at 4000 rpm like when you have geared down ready to pass someone, there was a definite "buzz" and now it is silky smooth. When cruising at...
  13. Finally at last, Done!

Sweet!!! Gotta love that torque curve. Broad and relatively flat:D Thx for posting
  14. Wow how theRocket Handles

I wonder what angle a roaster is at when the pegs start to rub?
  15. Finally at last, Done!

The higher rpm caught my attention too. That's one of the reasons I wanted to see the dyno sheet. Did you use stock valve springs or upgrade them?
