and how do you plan on going to alaska?

if you are riding all the way up I strongly suggest for scenery main road # 3 west through BC north to
smithers then new hazelton and turn north on the cassiar highway ( the best scenic road) via dease lake iskut and the border with yukon where you catch the alaska highway if you decide to visit Atlin lake at that point make a side trip to skagway the road is very scenic.

or go to vancouver and board the ferry inside passage to juneau.

Since you put it that way. I'll opt for the second route.
I wonder if you can get a bike on the Princess...
Did Hwy 50 in Nevada chasing after a bunch of Victories going cross country in July.
An experience worth replicating, at a more logical time.

hmmm... if i can sort logistics i would love to be the chase vehicle for this... having a motorhome and a trailer along never hurts...
