What? ....got scammed

Something similar happened to me in the corvette forum... I was lucky that the forum administrator blocked/ flagged the original account that contacted me before I was able to iron out the deal.
Be careful, they are praying in the forums now and they can post silly things just to get the minimum count needed to do more advanced things
 
That makes me mad. On this Rocket3 forum and taking advantage of other members. If you want me to track them down I can do it. All I need is your Social Security number, your DOB and the last 4 of your Visa followed by the first 12 numbers. Oh yeah, your mother’s maiden name. Here’s my email. Mydicksadrill@yahoo.com.

I would never in a million years buy anything off Facebook or Instagram, it's almost 100% scammers, and Meta couldn't care less, they won't even take down obvious scams if you report them. If it's a product I google it and buy from a different site, but that's not really applicable to your case.
 
There’s a couple of other R111/R3 FB forums I follow, every week there’s probably at least three “Gentleman” selling spares. Some of them are so obviously scams it’s daft!
Parts photos obviously from different companies, only contact through Messenger, refuse to quote prices on the page!

I’m related to a Nigerian Princess so yeah. I’m not poking fun at you just the situation. Pretty sure all of us have made a mistake or two throughout our lives in trusting someone we shouldn’t. Cheers
 
Earlier this year I got a mail from my Master Card that I might have been hacked. When they read me the $26’000 charges including a wedding event we all had a laugh. It would be nice if someone cut the fingers off these typists criminals.
 
even a picture with a paper and the days date on it, also if they have the same part, or other parts, and they are different backgrounds, they are scamming, it is crazy right now, I'm selling a Honda civic, Harley wide glide, and couple of bass guitars, and the scams they come up with and excuses, "I'm sending a bank draft with someone and they will pick up the vehicle for me, I'm to sick", "I can only do transactions through pay pal", "i need a vehicle check, I've had bad experiences with Carfax so use this site instead, i use it all the time" or they show up with a stack of 100's and half of them are counterfeit and the insane low ball offers like they are doing you a favor even making an offer
