2012 rocket 3 touring
Went to get an inspection on my ride and it would not pass because my 880 tires already wore out after 4250 miles.
 
Never had to have a bike inspected here in Michigan...at least none I'm aware of. I can't imagine you need tires at 4250. My original rear tire was good to about 8K and close to 10k on the front. I never knowingly turned the rear tire. Are inspections required in Texas?
 
I had to replace mine at 5k. My cords were showing through!

Same boat as you, at 4k my tire was done, worn, and flat like a late blooming 12 year old.

Suggest going to excedra max (not g852) or Avon for the new one, they are supposed to last much longer.
