Tire Pressures

You guys just don't understand about Florida humidity. When a guy says he's swapping out H2O from his tires, that usually means he needs to replace the air dryer in his air compressor. Around here, I've bled out about a cup of water before topping off the tires.

FYI, the whole Nitrogen thing is a joke. I have heard people try to justify it by saying that the nitrogen is a larger atom and doesn't bleed out of the tire as quick. Makes sense except Oxygen is the larger atom. And as some one pointed out, Nitrogen is already 4/5ths of the air we breath. If Oxygen bled out of tires so easy, you would be left with nearly pure nitrogne in your tires anyway.

Keep your tires filled to correct pressure with good old fashioned free air and leave that store bought stuff to people with mor emoney than sense.

BTW, the only exception is extremely cold climates. Nitrogen is less suceptible to volumetric changes in temperature so people who fill their tires at 32F degrees and wake up the next morning and it is -20F degrees will benefit from Nitrogen.

BTW, I checked my tire pressure today for the first time since I went on a 2200 mile trip to the mountains. The front tire went down 1 lb and the darksider stayed exactly the same at 35lbs. I've never seen a tire hold pressure after 2200 miles, plus up and down mountains and lots of twisties to boot.
