It's all about the spacers (washers). They just screw in like the stock bar ends. The left side should just mount flush. The throttle side gets tricky, you want it to mount as flush as possible without pinching or rubbing the grip when turned off and be able to rotate it on and have the piston lock onto the edge of the grip (you can't really see it working until you get it mounted, the piston doesn't come out when not mounted, you'll see once you get into it). If you bought it used I hope you got the collection of washers it came with originally, if not go to your local hardware store and get some washers of varying thickness (down to some VERY thin ones) and work it until you find the right combination. The install is easy but does require some trial and error until it's right, and you'll know when it's right.

You can use the washers or loosen the throttle handle bar pod and slide it back and forth to adjust clearance. It's a good idea to have at least one washer just for slip so the throttle doesn't increase/decrease while twisting he throttle lock.
 
Also throttlemiester throttle locks depend on air temp they may work great at 75 degrees but then it gets warmer and the throttle grip expands and it my get tight i have them and it varies greatly between 40 and 80 degrees
Like one thin washer
Trial and error will let you know
Personally i love them it takes the twitchy ness out of the throttle
I highly recomend them
 
They do work just fine in the morning but after setting in the Sun a little while they do get a little bit snug, but I do love mine it helps out this 54 year old wrist :cool:
 
I was able to use the throttlemeister on the way down to RAA VI. It worked fantastic. That along with riding gloves took care of my cramps. I only have one problem, sometimes I ride with my hands on the ends of the grips. When I excelerate, sometimes the throttlemeister will try and tighten up. I have had this happen twice, so now I constantly check the position of it. Other than that, it's great.
