Ride
2007 Rocket III Standard /2010 R3T
:cool:Test drove a 2010 R3T. I didn't think it had all the claimed power. :eek:Then I drove the 2009 Classic. They assured me that with Tors and a tune I'd be:eek:. The R3T is the best ride this old kid has had in a while. Plus the O'L Lady walked into the shop and said "thats the best looking bike I've ever seen, wow Kenny". Two more months and (when Kerry gets her third job) we'll be back in the saddle. Hope to make Sturgis or Maine this year. What a bike. It sounds like my Dodge Cummins, reminds me of the torque that the old Ford 300c.i. INLINE 6 had. It is only 10c.i. smaller than half of one. Well thanks to all for the help on a premium ride. The o'l lady said she would help keep it clean.:D

Glad you enjoyed. If you pick it up in time, slide on down to Maggie Valley, NC in May and join us. Look for the Rockets Across America thread.

Good deal. Come see us at Maggie Valley, a gathering for a bunch of Kentuckians, some westerners, a few Northeasters, some deep South types, and apparently a Mexican or two. Should be a blast like and old fur trappers rendezvous except on Rockets. Lupe', why are you not riding your Rocket ?

A genuine Rockets and Outlaw gathering of sorts.
Indians, Mexicans, Cops, G-men, T-men, an revenuers too.
Even a Scot and an Englishman are coming.
I've heard there'll even be a drunk or two....
You'll be able to see car tires, blowers, and non-stock Rockets galore.
Maybe one or two bone stock, but not many....
Come on.

Better not be no ****ed revenuers attending and any LEO's need to look the other way;). "Kid" where did you buy your Rocket?

Just try to imagine what it would be like if there wasn't a built in safety of 7% power reduction in the first three gears ....

A simple mod like a GiPro will give back that lost power and make it unbelievable, trust me.

Well Josey I haven't got it yet, I'm still on my ol softail. A couple of months I hope is all it will take, and Pig9r sorry dude, fresh out, wish she did!!! Hmmmm. HellFire thanks for the tip on the GiPro. Will it work with TORS? Got any suggestions for the exhaust? This is a 2010 touring. I might ride it stock fer a bit (like to the mailbox).Alright fellas thanks again. We are suppose to go to Louisville tomorrow with the grandson to see the kids museum and then to the Triumph shop.
Thanks

The Touring version doesn't come with the same power as the Standard and Classic (You can with mods) and the narrower tires are H rated. Lots who buy the Touring do leave it mostly stock and just enjoy the ride. If you plan to hot rod an R3, the Touring isn't really the one to start with and the tires could be a major issue. Just so you know that there IS quite a difference between them before you buy one.
