Just wondering if you guys can explain some of the terms u use when u mod your bike. Like whats a cross over and a TORS. Might be a silly question but coming from a V-twin back ground I have never heard of them/it. Cheers

Your questions are understandable coming from a V-twin. What do they call that bit of exhaust pipe on a Harley between cylinder one and two on stock bikes? It equalizes back pressure between the two exhausts so each piston has the same power.
Triumph off road silencers:TORS
Triple K&Ns: three K&N filters under the intake housing
Bear Claw:intake housing cover
Thats about all I know. I too have a lot to learn.

Here's a few other confusing jargon words and abbreviations used commonly;
Lambda Sensor = Oxygen Sensor, or O2 Sensor
Going "darkside" = putting a car tire on the rear wheel to save money.
WOT = Wide Open Throttle
WFO = Wide F'n Open (aka Wide Open Throttle )
Decel Popping = exhaust backfiring upon deceleration
POS = Piece of S#%T (not usually in reference to an R3)
Some people go 'Darkside' in search of more grip, rather than money saving
Here's a couple of my favourites ~
rwhp - rear wheel horse power
ft lbs - Torque
seeing as we are talking triumphs here are some from my side of the pond.
fender= mudguard
gas tank=petrol tank
m.p.g= more here cos our gallons are bigger.
paint can rattle= cam chain noise
darkside=i know what this is but i tried asking "why" its called this and nobody really answered it. not like r3 had whitewalls standard.
but one thing that we all have in common WE THINK R3's ARE THE DOGS BOLLIX.
