Tail light bulb

Does anyone know what is he replacement bulb for the tail light/brake light bulb? The barrel says 5/21 as does the specifications page in the owner's manual. I found the standard 1157 car bulbs to be the closest in appearance but they are a 6watt while the stock bulb is a 5 watt. Has anyone replaced theirs and what did you use?

I don't want to open the package in case the 1157 is not the correct replacement.

I believe 1157 is the correct bulb

If an 1157 fits, so will a 2357. Noticeably brighter, and I believe supposed to be heavier duty. It's what I always upgrade to.

I just installed the 1157 and it is fine. If I had seen your post Ed before I opened the pack, I'd have used the 2357. I'm good though.
