I was on J & P cycle yesterday and they list a tach for the Rocket III if that does not work for you.

ZZ57028 for $209.99 and they claim it will work on my 06 Classic which should mean that it fits all Rockets but...................
Also says it has bright illumination which would beat the dim stock one that is on my R3. The guages on my R3 are so dim that at 130 mph at night I can't read them at all.

Well at that speed you dont need the tach anymore!!!!!
mjackson: Keep us posted as I really like the looks of the sunpro. From what I can see it should be compatible but I need some tech data on how its reading the rpm's. Should be pulses from the eletrical system but than again it could be a steady voltage. Thanks for being the guinea pig!!

What would stop me on the SunPro is that it is not waterproof...therefore unless you only ride when the sun shines (which I don't) it would be pretty useless.

You can always stick a clear baggie over the tach, I do that anyway with my GPS.
Unless anyone else here has a suggestion for a waterproof tach that works for the R3T we are stuck with this one.
We can wait and see what MJackson concludes.

...I'm headed up to Albuquerque and Taos for a week with some friends and snowbunnies....tach should arrive while I'm gone...will report when I get back from the slopes...!!!
