That is nice!!!!! Wow great find!!! This will definitely be a must have. The R3T doesnt have one and Im a big fan of tachs. Lots of info in that one reading.

Thanks for posting it :D

How to mount?

There doesnt seem to any way to mount it on the handle bar on the R3T.
Its a car dashboard or steering column mount.
Any ideas?

Im going to make a custom mount for the bars. I havent been able to find many mounts to fit so fabricating is the only way to get what i want. There very well could be something out there...I just havent searched hard enough. :D

i will be working on a custom handlebar clamp....need a few measurements, a few minutes with "SolidWorks" and it is off to the machine shop...:)

post a photo

If you get a chance could you both post photos of your finished tach mounts?
It would be appreciated.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Great find, I've wanted on, but was unwilling to pay $325 for the only other adjustable one I've seen, a Dayton mini tach, if I recall.

Might want to read the FAQ page....................

Can I install a Sunpro Tach on my motorcycle, boat, go-kart, food processor or other non-automotive engine?

Unfortunately, no...

Sunpro tachometers are not compatible with the magneto and CDI ignition systems typically found on these engines.

Also, Sunpro tachometers are not weatherproof; exposure to the elements will damage the internal circuitry.

OK, so nobody really asked about connecting a tachometer to a food processor

When I conducted the test rides for Triumph here last summer, the lack of a tach on the R3T was quite disconcerting. I read the tach on my Classic more than the speedo. The next best bet was "by the seat of my pants" feel of the bike.

Thats a shame! I thought I had it made with the Sunpro:mad:
Are there any other tachs out here that will work with the R3T ?
I do not know enough about R3T, s to know if we do or do not have magneto and CDI systems?
