Well here is another Texan for all the Rocket3 lovers. Nothing else in my garage gives me such enjoyment as my Rocket (including a Corvette!). Jeez what a great machine! I was looking at possibly trading in for a new one but absolutely no way I'll be trading for a de-tuned model! I'll have to baby my 2006. I'm guessing the Power Commander, K&N and Jardines are adding ~20HP. Anybody wanting to get to know me a little better can visit our website STRIPESPLS.COM
Question...... Are Rockets available for rent in the UK? I'll be on a musical tour the latter part of July and first part of August. My church choir will be subbing evensong services for the cathedral choir in Lichfield and also West Minster Abbey while the house choirs are on holiday. It would be tons-o-fun to tour the countryside on a Rocket.
Welcome from the Southern part of the State! Only the R3T is neutered.. The standard RIII and the RIII Classic are still the same as your '06.. I'm still very happy with my '04 after 40,000+ miles
I'm just up the road about a 130 miles or so in Duncan, Ok. I ride through there often to my parents house, they live in Plano. We'll have to hook up some time. Enjoy the fourm.
'Not familiar with the "Ride Like a Pro technique" but always open for improvement in riding skills.
There aren't many Rocket3's in this area. I don't miss any opportunity to circle through the HD dealerships especially when they are having special hog oriented events. It reminds me of "The Discovery Channel's" Meercat Village the way all the heads turn in unison as I add a little torque and make the Jardines bellow as I pass thru the parking lot. Of course eyebrows are raised in proportion to how high I lift the front wheel upon leaving. Not sure if doing wheelies is practicing the Ride Like a Pro technique though
