I have a starter I took apart to build a 1.4kw
Just pay shipping and say $10
It's not the houseing but it's got a new gear. You can pop the retainer clip out and swap the parts. Here is a video so you know what parts I have.
I can just take the gear off if that's what you need.

i will pull the part today and check the tooth count, I'm in Colorado so I'm not sure how your wife in Detroit would help because shipping always takes a few days.

If you did the conversion, you used the nose cone from the old starter, which is what he needs

If he has the oe nose cone it's very easy to swap out the gear. It's just a cir clip and the gear comes off and the shaft comes out. Based on his other post and this I assume he just needs the gear that engages the flywheel.

Yes and hopfully in side engine gears didn't get worn or my engine will need to be taken out and that expensive.
Hopefully when I get this gear for the starter it will engage all the time and start so excited.
I haven't ridden for almost two years got two new hips and a new knee, and I ready to ride

that is so
the left over toyota nose cone will not fit the triumph if it would i would send you one.

You should be able to see the flywheel with the starter off.
The flywheel has a harder gear on it than the starter so I think it's probably fine.

I'll be able to get to this later this afternoon.
