Local guy, never had a rocket, he was very excited about his new to him ride. Im close enough to him to help with bike if needed until he learns it. It was kinda weird letting widowmaker go as we shared some moments that were pretty epic. The bike never let me down, any issue i ever had was my fault, not the rockets. Now im gonna get @cootertwo rocket ready for sale, its a good bike just needing some hand love and maintenance and ignition switch
Exactly, the Widowmaker paid me!Years ago when i bought my 1st used Rocket ,they were trading hands for 7 to 8 thousand....There have been quite a few that have traded hands at the 3500 price range.....Sort of like the Goldwings i've had many moons ago.... what will be the lower end of range.... ??? Pew...Pews...seem to gain value.....only certain bikes gain value before 25 years of age....Is it a hobby or an investment? for me the value is in miles ridden and friendships that i've gained thru riding hours....Priceless...
Just out of curiosity, Kevin, what were the specs of this bike? Mileage?
had a engine from a member here out of an 06. I basically put it back to stock. I paid 5500 in 2018, bike was meticulously maintained however, it needed nothing. That bike paid me about 2 million in smiles and memories, it taught me everything about rockets, from a stripoed frame and open engines, we did it together.
bike probably had 80k and engine in it when sold had 40k.
