I'm looking at shim kits as I'll be doing my valve clearances on my KTM soon, that bike needs 10mm O.D. shims but I am wondering what the rocket needs? Is the rocket the same size?

The sort of kit I would get for the KTM is "10mm diameter - Includes three valve shims in each size between 1.875 to 3.175 in .05 mm increments. 84 shims in total"

I dunno, but perhaps this would be helpful to you, especially since it's in your native tongue.

Useful video to know what I'll be up against in a couple of years (under warranty I'll get them checked at the dealership) but it doesn't mention the outside diameter of the shims used?

I had a look through the service manual and on parts finders online and I couldn't see any mention of the outside diameter...a shim is a shim is a shim, just need to know the O.D :)

lol, I might try the local dealership first :)

I figured someone might have some spares from home servicing and be able to shed some light, chances are they'll be bigger than anything available in generic motorbike kits though :)

The Rockets are to large I believe the Sprint which has under the bucket shims uses 9.48 mm 9.5's will work but are a wee bit tit when you take them out. KTM must bot want you to be able to run down to the local Jap bike shops to get parts quickly so I believe your hit.
