I had the jardiens, trip k and n, pcv-at installed. Before i installed pcv-at we tried to do it with tune ecu 20366. It was back firing on decel and rolling and surging at idol. I then went and ordered pcv-at to correct. We installed a map Hanso sent me. It took care of the backfiring but is still rolling/surging at idol?? I'm taking the bike (2013 R3T) back in this week to try and have it fixed. Can anybody help so i can pass along any information to my mechanic. Can someone else tell me how auto tune works? We downloaded hans map, went out and rode, then came back, hooked bike back up to computer, excepted changes that auto-tune made, then reloaded map into bike. Does that make since?? Thanks in advanc for all the help!!

did you put in an AFR for 0 throttle less than 1800 rpm? If so, change those to 0 (zero mean AT do not adjust this area). the AT will try and adjust at idle and causes it to surge like that.

the AT reads your AFR from the wide band sensors and compares it to your AFR set in the PCV map. if its higher it adds more fuel to the adjustment map, lower and it removes fuel. you review the map every so often and commit the change to your permanent map.

I have the maps for both the ecm & pcv for that setup, but i am at 5000 ft and it would be a little lean for you to start with.

Thanks Bagman! I am taking her in today. I will pass along your info. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yes it was doing it prior to pcv-at. When we installed the jardiens and the trips then loaded 20366 in tune-ecu. Do you have any ideas??

Bagman my AFR table does not have any AFR in the 0 column and even if it did the the AT does not work below 2% throttle I have actully sent him a 10% leaner version of his map as an experiential trial if it doesn't work better for him I have 10% richer version waiting in my Computor at Home waiting, but I am fairly certain from info he sent me in PM that it needs to be leaner.... I ain't perfect .... And I have been wrong before so I am prepared with the richer one

It def does it more when the engine is hot. A cold start its not really noticable.

That is why I feel you may need a leaner map the ECU going by the engine temp makes additional change while cold the map only really deals with a up to temp motor

One last thing Phill I forgot to ask you yesterday did you reset the adaptives after loading the tune in the ECU because it could also be what is causing the problem so before reloading any tunes reset your adaptives first it might be all that is wrong
