I went on the Ricky White ride last year, the first year it ran. It raises money for the child of an officer in the NYPD who was KIA. Most of my friends that I ride with work for the NYPD, which is how I found out about the ride. It is a scenic ride to Lake George, NY. Mostly Harleys, but there will be at least three R3’s in the mix, I would like to see a lot more. Then there is a big party at the childhood home of Ricky White. Here is the preliminary email:
  • The ride for 2011 is so far planed for May 6/7 with a rain date of May 21/22. We are making hotel arrangements now; most likely it will be the Georgian again. Flyer to follow with more information. Any questions please email this address: rickywhitememorialride@yahoo.com
When I get more info I’ll let you know. Peace...:bch:

Thanks for the info. Keep us posted. Sounds like you will be riding right past me on the way up to Lake George. I might want to hook up along the way.

Sounds great!!! I'll post new info as it comes.

I've been up that way before, beautiful area, try to remember to bump this when it gets close, I'd like to do it.

Its where you post on the forum to move it up so it can be seen again. Kind of puts it in the spotlight again. This way everybody will see it and it will remind us to plan for it.

So from here on out it will be your responsibility to remind us old folks that this is around the corner and we need to generate a hap hazard plan of execution........that or we just go to the bathroom and pee and forget

In greater detail, a bump is simply a new posting to an existing thread so that the thread will be apparent to any new viewers who may have missed it previously. Some folks will simply make a new posting which reads "ttt", which means "to the top".

I have a son who attends the University of Vermont in Burlington, so this trip might serve a double purpose for me. I'll keep it in mind... hell, Spring can't come soon enough for me!
