I guess I would start by removing the gauges from the motorcycle or lay a towel on the tank. Then remove the large philps screw located on the back. You will have to from the back. If you look on page 18.3 of the service manual you will see exactly how to take it apart.

Thanks for the reference! It is just the one phillips head that holds the tach in the housing. Unfortunately, I believe Mark was right. It appears the bezel is glued to the tach and my attempts to separate them were futile. Somehow, the inside of the glass must have gotten condensation on it at one time...it looks like it has runny water spots on it....just wanted to clean it...oh well....

All over or one spot?. My tacho has developed something similar - radiating out around the "Alarm" LED. Getting the glass out of most modern Speedo's is a PITA. A stone shattered the glass on my Guzzi - ttok the glass out - One day I'll have to put a new speedo in.
I washed my bike and noticed condensation in there the next day while riding. Talk to dealership while the bike was still under warranty and they told me to be more careful and the gauges aren't sealed 100%.

Mine has two vertical drips on the left side of the glass, it's only visible when the sun hits it just right, but when it is visible it's annoying...it's just my OCD kickin in....

I don't know how Tom cleaned the bike...I didn't ask, but I know he kept it VERY clean. I don't wash my bikes in the typical sense, (I.E. bucket-o-suds and a hose), I use plain water and micro fibers. I soak a mf then wring it out to wash, then dry with another mf. It probably takes a bit longer my way, but I'm not getting water in cracks, crevices, bearings, seals, and whatnot...I cringe every time I hear somebody say they used their pressure washer and a leaf blower on their bikes! Yikes!
