Rego label

No rego stickers in Tassie

Stopped putting the rego on the Bike five or so years back. They have just (Sept 2012) abolished the need to display rego stickers in Tassie. I would like to believe my personal protest had something to do with it!!
 
Hopefully the rego label is going the way of the dreaded front number plate remember them? Got pulled over in Mildura on my Kwaka1000 in 1981 got a serve for not having a front plate. The Victorian copper didn't beleive me when I told him you don't get one anymore in N.S.W. so I ended up agreeing to get one when I got home and he let me go. Dumb cop.
 

Always wondered where the saying "Thick as Pig ****" came from.
 
When I had a sport bike I kept it in my jacket pocket in a broken label holder. I just told them it fell off in the car park. Worked for me.
 
I cant bring myself to put the rego lable on my Rocket. It makes the bike look untidy! I keep it in the bags when they're on or in my pocket otherwise.
I'll suffer the consequences if it's noticed...................besides my philosophy is it's a Triumph and doesn't need one!!!!
I heard NSW are lable-less from January? cant confirm it thouigh.
 
I feel the same about the way they look. The tube is small price to pay to avoid being pinged for not having one. If they were illegal here I'd put it under the seat and say it just fell off. Sooner all states get rid of them the better, although the licence plate reading technogy isn't going to be much fun if they want to "monitor" things.
 
Northern Territory have got the best set-up i've seen ... a tiny sticker on the edge of your number plate.
