Good after noon Bearpaw. I say you need a check your ECU tune. Did you just put the K&Ns on recently?

Also, look for the introduction forum and start a new thread to tell us about yourself. Being that you are just down the road from me, we might even meet up soon.

We will be having our next big Rocket Meet up soon and it looks like it will be here on the East coast somewhere. Read the RAA threads to keep up to date.

check the 3 vacuum lines from throttle body's also the one that goes to map sensor.
u need to get the tunecu equip. very cheap!
if u change save your old tune

So it sounds like i need to have the ecu tune a Dealership told me it had a recall on the tune my concern is stock settings wouln't be right

You need to check the vacuum lines as prescribed by Dr. @TURBO200R4 -- no tune in the world is going to help a bike that isn't connected correctly in all the right places.

AFTER that, you should at least perform a so-called 12-minute tune, where you start the bike, and DO NOT touch the throttle - let the bike come up to operating temperature, then let in run twelve minutes more. It should hunt around trying to set up its base fuel/air mixture with the bike as-configured to approximately 860 RPM.

Hmmm

i did not explain very good. tunecu is a cable u buy for $20 and down load a program for free. then u can do things by yourself or get help from the rocket guys. some help and some have tunes depending on how your bike is set up. air filter, type of exhaust ect. i would not count on the dealer knowing much about the tunecu. some know the best cable to buy. they might be on in a while.
