Were you able to get some of the displays to work? Speed, RPM, etc?
SPEED/RPM/TPS% etc should work as they're part of the OBD-I protocol. But here's the question.

WHY would you use non-calibrated output signals?.

afaik the OBD output speed is what the OEM speedo will show - and that's optimistic (unless you have access to a rolling road and can correct it). Fit a GPS speedo and proper Race tacho.

Still think Wayne's idea to use a KOSO RX2N is pretty sweet. And I have a cunning plan.

Working

Yes, everything, at least the major stuff, seemed to be working fine. I agree that there is a delay with the OBD2 data, but for the touring getting basic data and displaying it is nice. I would like the gear to work as wall as the shift display, but for the price, it is cool...

Let me know if I can help. I have installed and calibrated 2 of these on R3s so far. I have a wiring diagram that makes Koso installation a breeze.

I am actually looking to go to the Stack ST700 series unit on my R3. Very nice, and professional accuracy.

My cunning plan is to feed the digital speedo from the speed pulse - and convert the tacho into a GPS driven Speedo (this works, I've already done similar with a different KOSO tacho and Aussie hummingbird electronics GPS speed sensor). I think you posted the details over on t'other site. But I may well be in touch. Thanks!

PS are the Stacks waterproof? - I've already had a less than positive experience with Car instruments on a bike. - edited - OK seems they are

PPS - the best instruments for visibility day/night combined I've found are the Smiths Prism series. But, you guessed, they let water in. I have a solution in R+D.
