I hate these types of threads :deadhorse: as much as the next guy but I can't find the answer anywhere and have a question?? How much oil "total" do I need to buy to do a complete oil change on a 2013 Touring? Sorry!

On my standard 05. New Oil filter + 5 litres seems to be about right

Same with 07 Standard. 5 Quarts with about a cup left in the last quart. I use that to lube the gates.

Run the new oil around the motor , then stand the bike upright. When cold, the oil should ONLY JUST wet the bottom tip of the dipstick. You find that after its fully hot, it expands a lot! & will be seen on the dipstick full mark.
