Mitch
Standard Bore
I'm new, so I thought introductions were in order.
My name is Mitch. I live in the Kansas City area. I just got my first ROCKET about 3 weeks ago, a phantom black 2008 standard model. I test rode a Rocket back in 2005 at an open house event, and I have dreamed about owning one ever since. Take my advice and don't test ride one unless you're ready to buy, it can make your life hell.
I'm 29 and have been riding cycles since I was 18. I have owned a lot of different models, mostly sport touring bikes and standards. This is my first cruiser and I'm still getting used to it, but I am digging it big time. At 6 ft 275 lbs (at least) most bikes make me feel like I'm riding a unicycle, but not any more.
No mods done yet, but I am seeing a short windshield, sissy bar, and some new pipes in my near future. I look forward to being a part of the Rocket owners community for a long time, and I will post some pics when I can. Talk to you later.
