My R3 just ate ANOTHER final drive

It's funny, because wheel bearings were my first guess when the bike started making the noise back in Dec/Jan. Once the shop had a look at it, they said it was definitely a bad final drive. And once I got it back, the noise was gone...for a while.

Doesnt make sense What did the dealer tell you they did to repair the bike did they install a new final drive ?
Yes. Per the invoice I received, they replaced the final drive, the drive shaft and a host of various smaller items...circlips, seals, bearings, etc. It doesn't say which bearings. I think it lists the part numbers also, but I don't have the invoice here at work with me right now. I'll try looking them up later.

Anyway, I called them as soon as they opened this morning and they sent a bike hauler to my house to pick it up a few hours later. It's back at the shop now, so we'll see what they come up with this time.

No...at least not yet. My previous bike was a Honda 919 that I rode rather...uhhh...exuberantly at times. Had a few close calls, but somehow managed not to crash it.
