Probably most "bling" guys won't like it, but wrapping my polished supercharger air intake pipe has dropped my intercooler "in" temps by a whopping 16C at idle. Header pipes were cooking the air between filter and blower. Boosts performance and bad boy look.



Need another roll to finish... 15ft not enough.
 
Makes sense. I could only imagine wrapping the headers would drop the temps even more.

I think it looks better with the black pipes( bling guy speaking). Just wondering, have you ever timed that beast in the 1/4 mile?

I'll get around to it this Summer. If she's not high nines, I want my money back!
 
Actually, header wrap is quite common. I'd wrap them as well. The hotter the pipes are, the better they flow anyway. Besides, you don't need to be melting those polyester slacks you wear.

Your 1/4 mile et's are all going to be in the launch and how much abuse your clutch can take.
 
Nice one H. More of the "industrial" look to match the exposed swing arm and pipes.

You've got enough bling anyway what with the wheels, rotors, callipers, bodywork..............
