Rocket 3 Roadster
Hi All

Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn't see anything for it....

Im used to not having a fuel gage but i believe my Rocket does (Still not got it yet!!) however i have had fuel gages before and they were a little hit and miss, can anyone give me an idea of how far a full tank will go with general calm riding (R3 Roadster 2012).

150 to 225 miles.

champion, tho in UK that 75mile difference is like difference of 10 towns apart. lol i was hoping for big numbers and i suppose 225 would be better than my America at 145

The mileage seems right with what I've experienced.
I also have an added feature on my bike. The manual cut-off shuts down the engine when the fuel level is nada:banghead::banghead::banghead:. Yeh, I've run her dry twice. One time I was pulling into the gas station and coasted to the pumps:thumbsup:. The other time I was just a block or so away.

However, I have read the fuel pump for the R3 is in the tank and you should not let the fuel level get tool low as the fuel helps keep the pump cool. With that in mind I'm looking to fuel up on long trips at about the 175 mark, lower when just running locally.

Anybody know if this is true or not????

Also, the low fuel warning light is notoriously pessimistic and comes on with many gallons left in the tank. (I have no clue if the Triumph gauge is any better)
I've never had the nerve to push much past 160 miles, since getting stranded is not my idea of a good time.
