Crab Claw Gloves

When your hands get frozen cold it dunt matter what chaps you have sitting in your lap.
Fingerless wool inserts inside a deerskin mitten to nomex flight gloves, Ive used 'em all.

A pair of crab claw gloves make the cruising season much much longer.

On the cheap

You'd be surprised what JC Whitney has for bull hide leathers.

If it works, go for it! My gel-pad heated to room temperature or super warmed in the microwave keep the mid winter chill off the jewels for quite some, under bull hide chaps.

Ive also rolled up a cheap Wal-mart snow suit in the saddle bag as well. But, crab claw gloves are the best.

Medic,

Biker Brother in Alton has a pretty good selection of chaps and the last time I was there he had leather bibs too. Going to a brick and mortar store you get to try on what your buying. His has has pretty decent prices to.

Donelson Cycles has good selection but their prices will make you think you're at a Harley dealership.

If you're just looking for warmth that's quick to remove Carhart bibs are a good choice.

I've got chaps that I wear for warmth but below 40 the boys still get cold.

tdragger is right about chaps at this side of the pond the only blokes that wear them here dance in night clubs with other blokes to kylie minogue. La la la lalalalala:eek:. Taking that into consideration i went for my first ever warm water proof trousers in 39yrs of riding. Now i've got them i wish i'd done it years ago, me knees might still bend properly if i had hung up my levis in favour of a pair of textile cargo trousers. Fit like jeans but with pockets on the thighs, all black with no silly logos and a zip out thermal lining. I left the knee protectors in for extra warmth for my poor little knee's but took the hip protector out cos they stuck in my leg. Can't really fault them for £50 and they won't go baggy at the knee like leather.

do they go commando in them chaps??? Woo hoo!!! Lol

I used to wear leather chaps it was always cold when you needed them and they helped some so I had a idea I brought them in laid them on the kitchen table and took a pair of sweatpants and sliced down the seems cutting the legs off taking a hot glue gun and gluing the sweatpants every 6 inches in to my chaps worked great I figured it was cold if you needed them why not insulate them dollar store sweatpants very cheap to do Redneck technology :D
