I was thinking about getting some riding gear through Leather-up.... their prices are really good (especially the wholesale stuff)... but I have read some really nasty reviews about them..... has anyone ordered through them? Good or bad experience?

I've ordered.. They have cruisers stuff at decent prices but don't expect high quality or "to the letter" fit.. Never had an issue with them, but didn'te xpect much for the price...

I stay with high quality leathers and avoid the low cost stuff. To me saving money on leathers is a false economy. I don't mean that one must spend $400-500 on a leather jacket. I think I paid about $250 for my latest one and it is heavy and well made. Zip out lining too. I also have a Hein-Gerick Dakar (safari style) leather jacket.

Thanks for the link Skid Mark.....

I am planning on ordering up a set of the Kevlar chaps with knee armor....

what a neat idea.

I've used Leatherup.com and jaffrum.com for lots of stuff. And even though they are low-cost, the quality has always been pretty good.
Leather jacket, chaps, boots, gloves, helmet etc.

I recommend them...
