Triumph supplys the ECU we add the thingymajigs to try and make it go faster Triumph does not force us to do any of the add ons in fact the vast majority of owners are quite content with the stock bike.
The Rocket is a very nicely priced crus/sport/run around bike start adding all the stuff we would like to see on it and it will be priced out of the market.
That is why we have guys like Hombre he is able to do what a lot of us wish we could do.![]()
I was merely musing over the cost offsets. Price of the bike goes up but offset (a little) by the current ECU cost. Price hike to buyers is further offset by the potential cost of the mods/tunes we would no longer need (but only if we were going to spend the time and money to make the bikes go 'better'). Then there's the price we might be prepared to pay for peace of mind. But of course, you're correct and it's all hypothetical.
