Got the Jars today and I'm reading back at your "how to" Dave. "If" they've corrected the "non-fit" headers, should I still use 2 gaskets per port? Jeff, did you have to modify your headers to fit or have they corrected them?

Also Dave, you talked about a clamp interfering with an "engine bolt" then you said "DELETE". Delete what? The clamp?

Thanks for the help guys!
Ron

Hey sorry, I didn't see this until today. I didn't experience any problems

that Dave described in his sticky so I believe the headers are good now.

As far as the clamp goes, it was tight, but I did not eliminate it.

Dave was talking about the clamp not the bolt.

Also it is a good idea to use two gaskets per port. I used my old ones with

some sealant, but don't do that, do it right like Dave describes.

Good luck, it's a little bit of a pain, but well worth the effort.

If you still have my number feel free to call anytime as I do not mind at all. Jeff

Thanks Jeff! Probably won't do it until next week. I've had to work alot the last few days and it's killing me....it BEAUTIFUL here! I wanna RIDE!!!!

Hey Ron, if you're going to wait a week or so, order the triple K&N's

and do them also. The Jardines work best with the modified intake.

Believe me, have I steered you wrong yet? I just did mine, WHAT A

DIFFERENCE! I told you in Daytona it made a 5 HP difference, WRONG

more like 10HP and 13lb's of torque. My bike absolutely screams now.

149HP 156lb's torque SAE. There is no downside with this mod. DO IT.

As for the two gasket mod-can't claim credit-the G-Man turned me on to it. Mine still leak when cold-but they were ****ed from the beginning.

I used 2gaskets & put washers under chrome domed nuts
to make sure they did not bottom out.

Jethro that is the first time I have seen the cutaway buick hubcap/bearclaw. Absolutely awesome. I really like what you did there.
