I suspect that G-Man is running in higher state of tune than Multibob. Maybe that is reason for the blueing.
If your bike is running like a raped ape, then it may be getting pretty hot.
My R1100S has a heavy dark patina at the pipes. Its a hot motor, and BMW uses single wall tubing. That is word on the Beemer sites for the blueing on the R bikes.
No blueing here either. I would say you are too lean making it run hotter. Thats usually how they pull more power at the Dyno-tune center. If you tell them to tune for power..... they lean it out. Lean=hot/ rich=cool
