While I am no mechanic.......If bike has been sitting for years with bad gas, I would go ahead and check fuel pick up lines in tank. I had same issues you have mentioned. Fuel would flow but not at right pressure. Good luck.....

Ended up being fuel pressure regulator and a rotted fuel lines in the tank assembly. Got to take it out last weekend for first time. It is a beast
