I priced out full coverage with 3k for accessories on both a R3 and a Speedie. The R3 would add $200 to my annual rate; the Speedie $479. The difference between the two accounts for about one tire change for the R3, making both bikes cost about the same. I really thought the tire costs would knock the R3 off for me; turns out not to be the case.

Insurance rates have so many factors it is hard to compare people.
Mine accounts for house, three cars, four bike, 20 years of service, no tickets and there is no real rating for a Triumph Rocket 3 with American Family. It went under cruiser like gold wing, and harley. $123.45 a year. Full coverage , $250 deduct, 1 million lia, 1 million pass, max $500 for driver, $50, 000 medical per pas/rider. Difference between having awesome coverage, and crap coverage $15 a year so I max it out.

yes, Auto Owners treats me well since I have everything with them, including 1 millon excess. They insure it like a cruiser and maxing cverage on it makes a lot of sense vs the insignificant cost increase.

You Captians in the USA have cheap insurance, Aussies will be paying $450-$500 annually for one bike.
