To everyone who attended ES this past week, I can't begin to express how much fun it was to see old friends and meet so many new ones. There's something to be said for some good "Up Close And Personal Time".

To everyone that planned on attending, and for different reasons couldn't make it, you were missed and once in a while - talked about. Please try and make it next year as I know it will even be bigger and better than RAA III.

To everyone else, don't miss another chance to see part of this great nation on two wheels and get an opportunity to meet some great folks that belong to R3owners.net. I'd look around the room at each gathering and never fail to see people joking, laughing, telling stories, asking questions and getting answers.

I've tried to digest the last 4 days into this thread and I've got a feeling I won't get all the memories listed..... but here goes.

1. Thanks to our Webmaster Shawn for giving us the chance to meet online and providing the internet vehicle we used to put this all together. Yes, there is a real Webmaster and if you'd stayed until Sunday evening you would have met him.

2. The event was a success because everyone who participated did so with a great deal of enthusiasm. I've never seen a group of near strangers spend that much time together and still be smiling, hugging and laughing together. The " Horse Play " and kidding was over the top and I think all of us got "Zapped" by someone else during our stay.

3. There are several times during the weekend that stand out for me personally:

I remember meeting all the gals on Friday night and though friendly, they seemed a bit reserved. By Saturday morning, during the staging of our ride, it was great to see them participating in the photo shoot and getting their group picture taken. One of the gals even climbed on the roof of a building to get a better shot of all the bikes lined up. They were a very integral part of this get together and I hope they will join us every chance they can..... both on the forum and on future rides.

Next was a sight I hope I'll see again next year. To lead the group through the Ozark National Forest was a "Hoot" and thanks to our Arkansas Triumph riders for providing an escort and lead for the group. I'll tell you, to look in my mirrors on a straight stretch of road and see all those double headlight running together made the old ticker beat a little faster. I especially liked it when I'd give the biker salute to oncoming HD and other riders and then watch as they'd have to leave their hand down for a long time because of the length of our group.

I was fascinated with some of the personal stories about some of your lives both past and present. It was an honor for me to know you felt comfortable enough to let down the guard and just talk.

I hope everyone had a good time and will have fond memories for years to come. The goodbye hugs and handshakes made it all worthwhile.

Dave you said it all, a weekend to remember for ever. But lets get the ball rolling for next year I heard a few places being talked about one of them being Barbers Motorbike Museum in Birmingham Alabama (not England Tony) . But lets get the creative juices flowing for before you know it next year will be upon us.

Barbers Motorsports Museum is worth far more than the 10$ door fee. And for the crouch riders there's the race track to show off their prowess. It wouldn't surprised to see Barbers, sponsor an event.

The Texas Hill Country has also been mentioned. As a Texan, I'm for either, but I thought I would post some of what we have to offer from the top of my head...

Lone Star Motorcycle Museum
Home
"We display a wonderful collection of machines from around the world dating from the 1910's to modern." Owned my an imported Aussie.. :)

The Three Sisters" or " The Hundred Mile Loop" (RR335, RR336, & RR337)
Motorcycle Riding in The Texas Hill Country
"...without a doubt the best motorcycle roads to be found in the Hill Country of Texas. These are the roads everyone wants to ride when they visit the Texas Hill Country. Again I caution, if you are a new rider or are a cautious type, then you DO NOT belong on these three roads...."

Willow City Loop
Motorcycle Riding in the Texas Hill Country
"...Willow City is the gateway to "The Willow City Loop" which is a 20 or so mile stretch of beautiful Texas back road that any motorcyclist will enjoy...."

Luckenbach, TX (Yes.. the town Waylon sung about)
Luckenbach Texas and Dance Hall, Best Dance Hall in Texas

Stone Henge (What better place for a picture of British bikes?)
Stonehenge II and Easter Island Heads, Hunt - Kerrville, Texas

Pianoman,

You sure have a way with words .................your summary is right on the money!

I don't think anyone has yet commented on as well as being a motorcycling event to remember for all the right reasons it was also a culinary delight...............and I just know you were mainly responsible for that as well!

Already looking forward to RAA IV. Somewhere a little further east so its not quite such an epic journey for Britman and co. Birmingham, AL. sounds just the ticket if there's good riding nearby the museum.

Thanks once again Dave

Best regards
