How to Lift Fuel Tank???

on my 05, I have to remove two allen head screws that hold the gauge cluster in place, it then flips forward and there is one bolt at the top of the tank that holds the tank down.

that removes the tank flips up ( remove the seat first) and use the prop rod to hold it up.

Doesnt the bear claw have to be removed first , before lifting tank , plus the above

Yikes, I forgot about that.

I have triple Unis so my bearclaw slips right past....

But for anyone else yes they must remover teh chrome bearclaw.

Two bolts, one at the front and one at the rear, can't remember the correct size but I think its like a 10 and and 8 MM, ( dunno why its two different sizes)

I used WD40 on mine , and never had the problem again .

Though on the occasions that I have the tank lifted I give it another little squirt :lol:
