I don't like the way Sabrina writes. When one thinks of a V6, they think of older Mustangs and Chargers?!? NOT!
485# is not a behemoth either.
And I dont get the reference of this bike being an Amazon. What did I miss?

wow!! £31,500 ain't got that many vital organs to sell. You could have a brand new rocket and all the bells and whistles for that and have change. With import charges and brexit think i will wait and see what happens about new rocket;)
CRAZY price and you can buy better performing bikes for far less so why bother ?

There must be another way...
Yup - rear mudguard has to extend past the rear wheel. Personally I'd have a proper rear tyre hugger in preference - Made in C/F it'd be lighter and probably stiffer. Such are the indiscretions of fashion.

Some of it was however to avoid folk hiding the plate up under the seat where the cameras can't see.

I don't actually know when this came into force - as older bikes are naturally exempted and I really only notice older bikes anyway.
But in my mates shop they have had to fit those fugly rear thing on all recent "conversions" requested.
Look at all the "new" scramble type bikes - Benelli, Husqvarna - Ducati offers the scambler with both options. Scrambler Ducati | scramblerducati.com
