I've always ridden all year from when I got my licence in my 30s. My wife has a car and I used to have one too, then early last year she said 'do you realise your car hasn't moved for 18 months?' So, I sold it and use her car when I need to. I'm lucky, there aren't too many days here when I can't ride and if I'm really stuck, I can catch a train to work. I never thought I'd be without my own car but I don't miss it as long as I have access to one when I need to

I was the same. Bought a Ford utility and every time i wanted to use it i had to call the Auto Club for a jump start as battery was dead flat. Like you my girlfriend owns a 4x4 and i can steal that if needed.
Things will change in 12 months or so .... i'm restoring a 1970 model Valiant 2 door coupe. Own a car again , see how we go this time
