Welcome from Ennis, Drew! Also welcome from, San Antonio. I just happen to be here for the weekend. I was thinking about heading out to the Triumph dealer on I10 later to grab a T shirt or something. I also upgraded from a Valk.

I chose to drive to the Austin dealership rather than use the one off I-10. I didn't get a good vibe when talking to the service manager and they wanted more than double for the tune. I paid for gas and In n' Out and still came out cheaper.

If anyone has that amazing tune for the touring model, PM me and I'll give you my email address.

Welcome from Cypress Texas. My friend has a good tune for your set up using the tuneboy. I don't know if it can be switch over to the TuneECU or not. I will try a get it for you in the next day or so.

Can the tuneboy be used on multiple bikes? I can easily run the bike to the Houston area...could even give him a few bones for his time. (I just moved to SA from the copperfield area)

Been away from the computer for a day or so, so I'm a little late to the party, but . . . . . .

Welcome to the Forum from Sunny South Florida I'm sure you'll enjoy the time you spend here with us!

2 weeks ago, a 2008 Rocket III Touring became mine and I drove it from Wild West Honda back to my home in San Antonio. It burbled and popped but I didn't notice the incredibly lumpy idle. I figured out immediately though that it was an aftermarket (Jardine) exhaust. I figured it was a tune issue so I drove to Austin today to get it retuned. Its a bit better but now the power seems to be down.
Is there anyone in the SA area with a tuneboy that has some time to help a nOOb out?
Is there meetups (my last bike was a Valkyrie I/S and we met once a month somewhere in Houston) in the area for RIII owners?

Welcome to the Forum Drew. I was looking at that bike myself. The dealer told me that someone from San Antonio was also interested in it. I was going to have a friend from the Houston area look it over for me but the dealer acted like he was doing me a favor selling me the bike so I moved on. Hope you enjoy it. It looks good.

Small world! It was a consignment bike and bet their profit on it wasn't all that great. To be honest, that dealer, in general, has great used bikes and really unmotivated sales people. I had called the week before to see if it was still there Friday at 1030am, they didn't call me back until 5 on Saturday. It was only because it was the best deal in the state that I drive back the next weekend.
I do wish I could have spoken to the previous owner... they could have given me a better run down on the jardines and any tuning that had been done plus the service history but oh well ..

Welcome from Houston...well...Waller County actually, but close enough. Next time you are in the area give us a shout there is usually something going on, even if its just a quick run to the Thirsty Parrot or Yankees Tavern
