I have finally 'bit the bullet' and got a Rocket 3, a 2009 Classic which, so I am told, is unmolested. The R3 has been on my mind for a number of years but it has taken a while to come to terms with giving up on Harley's. This is actually my second, my first is a little older being a BSA version of 1969 vintage which is currently in the process of a full restoration.

My bikes have been self serviced and repaired for many years and I want to continue doing this with the Rocket, finding this site has therefor been a real a bonus. The knowledge base seems wide and informative and as such will no doubt be of real benefit. I hope that in the future, given gained experience, I can contribute in some way.

The TuneECU topic is of particular interest and having now down loaded the software and ordered the interface cable, there will no doubt be much use made of it.

p.s. Are there many from the UK on here?

Congratulations Battersea! Welcome to the site.

I too am a reformed Harley rider, what a difference. Like yourself I do my own repairs, maintenance, etc and this site has been a huge aide, the people here are great and everyone helps each other as you've probably noticed.

Good Luck, she's a beauty!

Welcome from Oz (Frank Baum's anyway). Glad you're here, hope you enjoy the second fastest color available (black is known around the globe as the fastest color).:D

Welcome batttersea, from your side of the pond. I think alot of rocket owners are ex harley people. Wanna buy a Roadking ? Since i got the rocket a year ago the harley has done zero miles:D Atomsplitter is right about the colour though.
